Since I was a child, I have enjoyed creating art. I started out drawing personal and often bizarre characters set in stories or worlds of my own imagining, and it was, at first, just a hobby. As years went by, however, art became an outlet for my creativity, something to pour myself into during the most difficult times in my life. It was around that time that I discovered deviantART, one of the more popular websites of the time, although I didn’t officially sign up until more recently. I discovered some of my favorite artists there, many of whom I still follow today, and my love for art grew. I was inspired by their work and their ideas, I took note of their techniques, I practiced endlessly, and my skills improved. My interests changed, my horizons broadened. Within the last five or six years, I have become more serious about my artwork and have continued to practice and improve, learning to take risks and to play around with my art from time to time, causing my style to shift around. Art continues to be an outlet for me, and I hope that one day it will not be just a hobby anymore.
